They are strong, powerful flyers that are used to do various things. The most popular uses of power kites are buggying, kite sailing and kite jumping.
These big kites develop a tremendous pull in strong winds, and give a real workout!
Several beaches locally offer great introduction to power kite flying including Rhosneigr, Trearddur Bay and Penrhos.
This activity is obviously weather dependant but offers a fantastic learning curve. |
