On the site at Anglesey, we have two tipis for rent.
Each tipi is 18 foot diameter and is a replica of the original Native American Indian tipi.
Each tipi tent is lined for extra insulation and has an ozan or ceiling which can be pulled out when required or warmth or extra waterproofing. There are scatter rugs on a waterproof floor and a safe cast iron central fireplace.
Each tipi can comfortably sleep 4-6 people or up to 15 visitors around the hearty and
welcoming fire.
They are suitable for most weather conditions being dry during the rain, cool during the blazing heat and cosy around the fire during the cooler evenings.
They are very popular for use for birthdays and events so early booking is essential.
Residents of the tipis share the camping shower and washing up facilities.
Tipis are rented either furnished or non furnished.
Furnished Tipis Facilities include:
- faux fur covered seating boards,
- rechargable lanterns for later at night
- inflating mattresses covered in faux fur, which double up during the day to make comfy seating or a double futon (you will need to specify on booking)
- single burner cooker
- plates and cutlery.
- smoke and spark free firewood for the chiminea fireplace.
On arrival you will be briefed on using the smoke flaps on the tipi, and hints for safe use of the fire. Each tipi is supplied with a fire extinguisher and emergency water container.
Non furnished tipis are left empty for you to bring your equipment. We do hire out the tipi equipment if there are any extras you would like, or have forgotten!
All bedding and towels must be brought as these are not included.
