LEARNING OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

With 12 acres in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our site is the ideal location for Learning Outside the Classroom.  With puzzles and team games built into the landscape, an onsite orienteering course, bushcraft areas, enthusiastic, skilled Instructors and a variety of indoor areas for lunches if the weather is inclement —means— we have something to offer all year round!

Our Eco site, with an ethos of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ means, we can also link your day in with the Sustainable Development School Curriculum.

Being just a few minutes walk from Porthdafarch Beach, we can add in one of our epic adventures to your day, such as Coasteering.

All our Activity trips are tailored to each school or groups requirements with no two trips being the same. Given our ideal location just a few minutes walk to the coastal path and the beautiful beach of Porth Dafarch with easy access to the mountains of Snowdonia , the range of adventurous activities we can offer is diverse and exciting.

Our action-packed programmes take pupils out of their comfort zone, building their resilience and pupils are encouraged to take a positive approach to trying new things and to support and help others, providing experiences that will stay with them long after they return to school. Flexible accommodation sleeping up to 77 students in shared bedrooms with ensuite rooms for leaders. Access to the beach & Snowdonia.

Anglesey Outdoors is an ideal location for for learning Geology, Geography, Biology, STEM and Tourism and linking up with our onsite activities team for GCSE PE.

Frequently Asked Questions for School Trips

Booking Information

Booking Accommodation

If there is a particular time you wish to visit we strongly recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.  During peak times we have a 2 night minimum stay in our indoor accommodation and glamping units with bedding.  We do get cancellations though, so you can always try for a last minute booking.

  • All prices include VAT at 20%.
  • Over Bank Holidays a minimum 3 night stay applies.
  • Low Season: 1st October to 31st March exc Bank Holidays.  High Season: 1st April to 30th September inc Bank Holidays.
  • Check in from 3:00pm (Just let us know if you need to be much earlier or later).
  • Check out is by 10:30am

Booking the Entire Centre

We can rent out the Centre for sole use, though there are other businesses on-site who, obviously, will continue to trade during your stay. These are mostly based away from the accommodation and camping area and will not affect your visit.

Booking Camping

Camping is only bookable by phone or email as we have limited pitches. 

Are your staff fully qualified?

Yes, all our staff are qualified to instruct the activities they will be running. We carefully select our activities team for their enthusiasm, positivity and ability to lead, and ensure they are all highly trained.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes, we can cater for almost all dietary requirements provided we are informed in advance. Examples of special dietary requirements include; gluten free, nut free, dairy free.

Can you cater for pupils with physical and medical needs?

We can cater for a significant number of physical and medical conditions; we would request that you discuss this at the time of enquiry.

Does the trip include insurance?

The Centre has Public Liability Insurance, a copy of which is included in the Health and Safety Pack . We do not provide insurance specifically for group trips. This must be arranged by your school.

What does my child need to bring?

We have developed a 'What to bring' list that you can download to help you with the packing for your child's trip. We would recommend that all your child's clothes and towels are clearly labelled with their name so that we are able to assist with locating any lost clothing.
